Over there, he further sub-specialized in heart failure and heart transplant intensive care, genetic heart diseases and sudden cardiac death. He also pursued training in advanced cardiovascular imaging, during which he was involved in the research and development of numerous state-of-art cardiac imaging techniques and their applications in interventional cardiology and stem cell therapy. In 2006, he spent a sabbatical period as a fellow at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, USA for training in cardiac and peripheral CT.

Prior to his appointment as a Consultant Cardiologist and Intensivist at Gleneagles Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Dr Chuang held the post of Consultant Cardiologist at the National Heart Centre of Singapore, and Clinical Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore. He has been a lecturer with the American College of Sports Medicine. He was the organizing chairman of the Singapore Cardiac Society Annual Scientific Meeting in 2008. He is a committee member of the Singapore Cardiac Society, and of the Chapter of Cardiologists, Academy of Medicine, Singapore.

As recognition for his numerous publications and contributions towards the advancement of cardiovascular care and research, Dr Chuang was admitted as Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology, Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, Fellow of the American Heart Association, Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography, and Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. He is an active member of numerous international societies, including the Council on Clinical Cardiology and the Council on Cardiovascular Radiology & Intervention, and the Interdisciplinary Working Group on Functional Genomics & Translational Biology in the American Heart Association. Dr Chia was the past chairman of the SGH Thyroid Group, a multidisciplinary association of physicians with an interest in the care of patients with thyroid cancer. She holds the specialist credential Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound (ECNU) from the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), the only endocrinologist in Singapore to do so.

She is an active member of The Endocrine Society (USA), the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) and the Endocrine & Metabolic Society of Singapore( EMSS). She is currently practising at The Endocrine Clinic, Mount Elizabeth Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore. Hide

She became a clinician scientist and embarked on a dual track of clinical care and medical research when the scheme was introduced in Singapore Health Service in 2002. During her research career, Dr. Ho competed successfully and secured many grants in the study of thyroid diseases from funding agencies such as the National Medical Research Council and the Biomedical Research Council. Her research had been published in journals such as Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism and Molecular Endocrinology.

Dr. Ho now practices as a consultant endocrinologist at The Endocrine Clinic Pte Ltd, treating all aspects of endocrine and metabolic illnesses with the combined skills acquired from her extensive clinical experience and her methodical training in the laboratory. She strongly believes in the positive impact of healthy lifestyle modifications, good nutrition & nutraceutical supplementation on management of chronic endocrine & metabolic diseases. Hide
